An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team as a full time Senior Web Developer in our dedicated IT Team based at our Head Office in Lawnswood. The role will be placed at group level servicing all our companies with ambitious growth plans.

The Role
Senior/ Web Developer
The Senior Web Developer at Northern Estate Agencies, you will play a key role in the development and management of our wide range of web projects.
You will lead a team of two developers, ensuring the successful execution of projects from conception to deployment. Your expertise in Laravel, React (NextJS), and PHP will be essential in driving our development efforts.
Additionally, you will be responsible for planning, managing, and overseeing the team's work, as well as handling basic DevOps tasks using AWS and Laravel Forge. Experience with Postgres and/or MariaDB databases is preferred.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the web development team along side the Group Head of IT, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.

Plan, organize, and prioritize development tasks and projects, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
·
Develop and maintain multiple web applications using Laravel and React (NextJS).
·
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
·
Conduct code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality.
·
Oversee and implement basic DevOps tasks, including deployment and server management using AWS and Laravel Forge.
·
Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues.
·
Ensure database management and optimization with Postgres and MariaDB.
·
Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve our development practices
What we are looking for
We are looking for a hardworking Full Stack Web Developer to join our friendly team. As a Web Developer you will have:

Minimum of 5 years of experience with PHP and web development.
·
Proven experience with Laravel and React (NextJS).
·
Strong understanding of web development principles and best practices.
·
Experience with AWS and Laravel Forge for deployment and server management.
·
Proficiency with Postgres and/or MariaDB databases.
·
Excellent communication, and interpersonal skills.
·
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
·
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Desirables:
·
Experience with other JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
·
Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
·
Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker.
·
Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automation.

Salary: Up to £50,000 + bonus depending on experience
