Contract Type: PermanentWeekly Hours: 37.5Working collaboratively with the Global SDVM Director & UK Marketing team the Senior Visual Merchandising & Store Design Manager will carry out local (UK) VM campaign briefs across the UK retail estate, working closely with Channel Marketing and Commercial teams to ensure best-in-class execution of brand campaigns, local eventing ( both inside and outside of our retail partners) alongside providing support for detailed planogram updates.
Key Responsibilities
Excellent creative ability to work with commercial & creative teams to issue clear planogram with zoning (skincare bar, backwall, open-sell, cash wrap-gifting areas…) to create a harmonious and consistent VM guideline across the UK estate, this includes Spa & Salons, Retail Partners and Travel Retail.
Work closely with Global SDVM Director to ensure global guidelines/ toolkits are reflected in UK market.
Ensure “always on” VM updates for evergreen & campaign assets, liaising with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and execution
Review relevant planogram updates for UK market as briefed by UK commercial team, reviewing shelf productivity.
In collaboration with Marketing & Commercial teams, lead the adaptation & production of windows, secondary sited animations
CAPEX projects: lead local refit / new door opening from brief to execution. Pull together brief for UK flagships to Global SDVM.
Manage the reporting of all UK VM budget trackers, alongside ensuring all relevant PO’s have been raised in a timely manner.
As part of the VM process ensure appropriate RFP process has been followed to ensure best supplier for project has been chosen.
Good understanding of brand ethos and be a brand guardian.
Lead the weekly VM update meeting, providing status updates and clear CPA’s/ status updates for projects, so all stakeholders have clear visibility on project status.
Manage UK retailer VM approval processes, keeping internal stakeholders abreast of key updates.
Create and maintain the UK VM database Including lightbox roll out – so there is a clear overview of the space & location secured across our retail estate.
Manage prototype development and CPA for UK team with local suppliers.
Establish trust relationship to negotiate best cost quality with suppliers to deliver sustainable & on brand VM for our Retail partners in all permanent and temporary environments.
Ensure site survey are carried out by supplier and maintain a site and window database for future visibility and cost monitoring.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
Bachelor’s degree in a related field required: graphic design, VM, product design
Be consumer-centric, demonstrate a good understanding of the customer journey in beauty, and have excellent attention to detail.
Understanding of creative processes
Understanding of approval processes within brand teams and third parties (retailers, brand stakeholders).
5+ years’ experience, preferably in luxury/premium beauty.
Proficient in InDesign & Illustrator
Intermediate in ‘Photoshop’ to quickly translate visual ideas into mock-ups.
Nice to have ‘SketchUp’ wireframe 3D skills.
Able to use Mac Keynote (presentation) & basic knowledge of Microsoft package.
Awareness of competition/trends to maintain relevancy in our VM deliverables.
Strong organization and communication skills.
Must be a team player as all work will be team-based, across multiple functions.
Positive, collaborative attitude, this plays a key role in engaging with multiple stakeholders across the business
Keen eye for detail, this candidate will be key in ensuring our brand equity is adhered to across all key retail partners.
