Experienced and supportive team An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Veterinary Surgeon or Veterinary Surgeon to join a busy, Tier 3 hospital based in Wakefield. This reputable, friendly, and welcoming practice in West Yorkshire welcome referrals from across Yorkshire and are proud to provide their own 24-hour on site emergency care through their dedicated ECC night team. The hospital offers a full range of primary care services, including preventative healthcare, routine and non-routine surgery, as well as advanced services such as laparoscopy, endoscopy, soft tissue and orthopaedic surgeries, cardiology, ophthalmology, and CT scans, and we have their own rehabilitation service with physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, and laser therapy.There is a fantastic team ethos across all sites and are very supportive of one another, they discuss clinical cases and get involved in social events. There is a large vet team who are supported by a fantastic nursing and front of house team. Six of the vets are working towards certificates in surgery, imaging, dermatology, cardiology, and ophthalmology.The role: This is a fantastic role for an experienced Veterinary Surgeon looking to take the next step in their career, or for an experienced Senior Vet Surgeon looking for a rewarding position. As the Senior Vet Surgeon, your role will include building strong relationships with clients and performing high-quality medicine and surgery, working closely with the Lead Vets and Senior Leadership Team to help drive the clinics forward, line management of the vet team (approx. 2-4 vets), ensuring the delivery of a quality service, and more.3.5 days per week with 1 in 4 weekendsThe Package:•
