Senior Vehicle Technician / Team Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Vehicle Technician to lead our team. As a Senior Vehicle Technician/ Team Leader, you will be responsible for managing and supervising a small team of technicians, ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance and repair of vehicles.

```Duties:```

- Manage and supervise a team of technicians, providing guidance and support

- Perform complex diagnostic tests on vehicles to identify issues and provide accurate repair recommendations

- Oversee the maintenance and repair of vehicles, ensuring work is completed in a timely manner

- Train and mentor junior technicians, sharing knowledge and best practices

- Workshop loading and invoicing of repairs, services, and parts used and quality control checks on every vehicle

- Stay up-to-date with advancements in automotive technology and industry trends

- Ensure workshop equipment is correctly maintained and all health and safety matters are adhered to including good housekeeping.

```Requirements:```

- High school diploma or equivalent

- Certification as an Automotive Technician

- Proven experience as a Senior Vehicle Technician or similar role

- Strong diagnostic skills and ability to troubleshoot complex vehicle issues

- Excellent knowledge of vehicle systems, including electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems

- Proficient in using diagnostic equipment and tools

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage a team

- Excellent communication skills

Ideally this position would suit someone who is a Senior Technician in a main dealer but who is keen to move to the next level. We would envisage that this role would require around 60% in overalls and the rest organising and coaching the team of three, admin and quality control.
