Role clearance type : You must be able to gain and maintain the highest level of UK Government clearance

About Your Opportunity:
This role supports the ever increasing need to protect our national security through development of software applications in an Agile environment to collect data, analyse it and allow our customers to make information aware decisions. We have a number of positions for UX designers who have relevant security clearances, or are eligible to undergo checks for security clearance.

Your Responsibilities:
Design user centred journeys across digital applications that focus on user needs
Conceptualising, iterating and ideating digital experience designs within a multi-disciplinary team of stakeholders, business analysts, developers, UX specialists and visual designers
Testing your design and journeys with varied and inclusive user groups so that you can validate your ideas and discover improvements through an iterative process
Be part of a great team and engage in knowledge sharing and collaboration on a routine basis by attending weekly design forums and workshops
Presenting to stakeholders in multi-team project demonstrations
Promoting UX standards and practices across the wider business as well as contributing to the internal UX community
Your Experience:
A varied portfolio that demonstrates the quality of your design thinking and research/testing methods
Capable of understanding business/stakeholder needs as well as user needs
Good communication skills used to present ideas and feedback to help the team understand the user perspective
A solid understanding of UX practices within software development
A good understanding of accessibility (WCAG 2.1) and inclusive design techniques or a keen willingness to learn
