Senior Underwriting Analyst

About the opportunity
LV= GI has a great opportunity for a Senior Underwriting Analyst within our Retail business working on a Hybrid basis in either Bournemouth or Croydon. Your primary focus will be the agile management of our motor or home portfolios through detailed analysis of our underwriting and payment structures across all direct distribution channels to support LVGIG’s strategic aims.
You’ll be responsible for proactively enhancing these portfolios and their footprint by the identification and management of any policy misrepresentation risks. This includes participating in / chairing forums and sharing insight and recommendations with senior management to drive continuous improvements.
As an empowered Senior Underwriting Analyst, you will play a key role in our ambitious profitable growth plans by driving the analysis activity and focus within the team.
Your role will involve providing timely and intelligent analysis of control structures, along with extracting data to support portfolio underwriting performance and proposals.
You’ll undertake market research and monitor and develop MI to identify opportunities and recommend changes to our business controls, payment plans and processes to ensure they are fit for purpose, meet customer expectations and comply with regulatory requirements.
Working closely with the wider underwriting team, you’ll help define strategy and collaborate closely with colleagues across the business to ensure successful delivery of our underwriting, data science and pricing initiatives. You’ll also act as an expert referral point.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong data analysis skills, a keen interest in coding, or in-depth underwriting knowledge to help shape our control underwriting control framework in a rapidly evolving digitalised world and customer needs, whilst being a part of a successful underwriting team within the GI Retail business.
