Senior Test Technician
�35,000 plus an annual bonus of between 3 and 6%
Location - Wappenham near Towcester
Hours - 40 per week, 8 am to 4 pm

One of my leading clients specialises in designing and producing programmable jammers (RF Inhibitors) and other specialised equipment for deployment in high-level military and internal security applications. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Senior Assembly Technician to join the team in Northamptonshire on a permanent basis.

Role and Responsibilities:
As a Senior Test Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the impeccable quality of our ECS products. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting precise alignment and testing of ECS products and systems, showcasing your in-depth understanding down to a circuit/component level.
  • Taking ownership of products through meticulous testing and inspection, ensuring they are ready for dispatch to delighted customers.
  • Demonstrating a keen understanding of products under test and effectively communicating any issues or solutions to your team.
  • Mentoring and guiding junior team members to follow test procedures and understand the fundamental aspects of our products.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting problems with products and systems, reporting findings to your line manager/supervisor.
  • Upholding current processes and providing valuable insights into areas that may benefit from improvement.
  • Engaging in the testing of prototypes and customised product variants, aligning with our commitment to innovation.
  • Collaborating with the design authority to ensure the latest test documents are followed correctly and in specification.
  • Supporting the generation of test procedures and managing small projects within the guidelines set by your line manager/supervisor.
  • Assisting in range testing and supporting other stages of manufacture to meet urgent deadlines when required.
  • Ensuring that products/modules are built and tested in accordance with documentation to comply with DAOS procedures.
  • Adhering to all Health and Safety regulations and actively contributing to our continuous improvement initiatives
