Our client, a leading global consultancy, are currently looking to hire a Senior Test Manager to join the team on a hybrid working contract basis.In this role you will:Be responsible for the delivery of testing activity in various teamsDefine test strategiesWork with project managers to plan and prioritise test activitiesSecure budget and develop test plansManage resources and provide the required governance and reporting for a set of projects.Key Responsibilities:Planning and driving testing activities across all stages and iterations of product, systems and service developmentProviding authoritative advice and guidance on any aspect of test estimation, planning and executionAdopting and adapting appropriate testing methods, automated tools and techniques to solve problems in tools and testing approachesMeasuring and monitoring the application of testing standardsAssessing risks and taking mitigating actionsIdentifying improvements and contributing to the development of organisational policies, standards, and guidelines for testingImplementing team member training and relevant skill certifications as neededManaging project milestonesResource forecasting and controlling attritionPromoting career development and performanceManaging the expectations of key project stakeholdersManaging and resolving issuesStriving for Continuous Improvement on testing processesEscalation Point of Contact at project levelLine ManagementInterviewing and selecting candidates for test rolesDeputise for the Programme Test Manager/Head of Testing when requiredManagement and Leadership skills - both from a person management perspective and from the overall control of the processFosters an environment conductive to open, transparent communication among all levels. Manages difficult and complex interpersonal relationshipsStrong presentation and communication skills with an ability to communicate at all levels within the organisation as well as externallyBusiness awareness, specific knowledge of the organisations business area, drivers, structures and prioritiesAssessing the performance of the teams, providing the necessary support and conducting appraisals. Assessing the needs of the team and enabling relevant professional development opportunitiesIn depth knowledge of management principles and processes.
