Join us to help fulfil our mission to accelerate an efficient, electric, and sustainable future.An opportunity has arisen for Senior Test Engineer - Electrical Systems to join our Electrical Department in a rapidly expanding and exciting work environment. Purpose of the role is to work in the Electrical Systems Team to co-ordinate and assist with all the Hardware and Software testing activities within a specific project or group of projects.Job role:Manage the definition of the testing required on electrical / electronic products developed by Fortescue WAE.Track the test plan to the main project plan for the project.Assist in developing DV & PV Test plans to validate components and systems.Assist in writing test cases to verify system and software requirements.Support testing carried out by external test houses.Assist the systems team with the preparation of requirements documentation at vehicle, system, and component level.Assist with the build and fault-finding of projects.Assist with hazard analysis, risk management and DFMEA for components and systems as required.Preparation and presentation of reports for internal and external audiences.Support technical and project reviews with the customer, representing Fortescue WAE, as required.Maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and all other departments.Understand and work to Fortescue WAE, Customer, Industry and Legislative standards.You’ll have:Recent experience and proven track record in electrical integration within the automotive or autosport industries.Degree in relevant engineering discipline or extensive in job experience A good understanding of different testing and validation methods for software, eg Mil SiL and HiL testingKnowledge of Electrical and Environmental test standards, for example LV124 & ISO16750Good knowledge of Vector tools including CANalyzer, vTest Studio, CANapeExperience in using Matlab and SimulinkThe ability to work flexibly to strict deadlines.The ability to travel in the UK and overseas.PreferredExperience of Electric Vehicles – HV charging, HV battery and HV powertrain systemsExperience of running Hardware in the Loop test rigs, Either National Instruments or Vector based.Experience of Requirements Capture Tools, such as Siemens Polarion or IBM Rational DoorsHas an understanding of functional Safety and ISO26262.We’ll provide:Training to add to your existing skills and accelerate your careerA supportive and empowering work environmentThe closing date for applications is 10th May#####4.Location:Kidlington, Oxfordshire Disclaimers and DEI:You do not need to match every listed expectation to apply for this position.
