Job Title: Senior Test Engineer (Defence Vehicles) Location: Bedfordshire
Salary: up to £60k
As a Senior Test Engineer within our client's Defence division, you will play a pivotal role in the development and execution of vehicle level tests, contributing to the validation and verification of design for a range of projects in the defence sector.

Responsibilities:
- Review test standards and requirements, devising test plans to effectively validate them.
- Collaborate with technicians to refine test plans and ensure clear understanding of test content.
- Oversee installation and testing of necessary instrumentation on vehicles.
- Conduct tests alongside technicians, taking ownership of data loggers and instrumentation operation.
- Document all test findings comprehensively, including test notes and results.
- Generate test reports or results sheets, confirming pass/fail criteria for each requirement.
- Ensure test vehicles are safely and functionally prepared for each test.
- Provide off-site UK testing support as needed.
- Act as the primary point of contact for test activities, maintaining clear and effective communication with customers.
Key Skills/Attributes & Experience:
- Vehicle level testing experience.
- Proficiency in general data acquisition and understanding of sensor types and applications.
- Knowledge of vehicle system functionality and attributes assessment.
- Familiarity with vehicle development process and project management of vehicle tests.
- Ability to write test plans and reports effectively.
- Experience operating in diverse environments away from base.
