we were rated 4.9/5 on functionality and 5/5 on ease of use - we want to keep it that way!You’ll be playing a crucial role in the organisation at an exciting point in our journey. Your focus will be on product delivery and technical management of the ongoing development of the whole Beacon product offering. While this is not a role in which you are expected to write code, you will need to deeply understand the technology we use and work closely with the engineering team in a hands-on way every day.ResponsibilitiesTake end-to-end ownership of product delivery, from defining requirements to managing testing and deploymentManage our backlog of features, chores, and bugs (we use Shortcut ). This includes gathering and synthesising feedback from the Customer Support, Customer Success, and Sales teams.Assist the Customer Support and Customer Success teams in diagnosing and resolving complex customer problemsYou’ll be comfortable stepping up and taking charge of the situation when bad things happen. As alarms are blaring and deployments are failing, you’ll be cool as a cucumber.Talk to customers
and partners
regularly. You’ll need to seek out early adopters of features, gather and organise feedback, and keep our roadmap aligned with our customers’ needsManage the day-to-day release communications for the engineering team, including internal and external communications about product updates
and contribute to developing Beacon’s guide. Take ownership of the customer onboarding flow and drive development of the experience for new customersDevelop a profound understanding of the Beacon product, and contribute to product strategyBe the main liaison between the Engineering team and the rest of the organisationRequirementsAt least 5 years of experience as a product manager at a B2B SaaS companyPrevious technical experience in software engineering and/or a technical university educationAbsolutely superb communication skills. You need to be able to communicate effectively across all of Beacon’s internal teams, including the founders, engineers, customer success managers, and the sales team.
