Senior Technical Chemist - Waste Management

Our client is looking for you! Reed Scientific is working with a leading national waste management company, based in Oxfordshire. They are looking to take on another Senior Technical Chemist to support their growing team. In this role you assist with the day-to-day operation of the
transfer station – receiving incoming consignments of waste, checking documentation, completing waste transfer notes and raising any non-conformances. This is a full time, Monday-Friday, permanent role and pays an attractive salary with excellent benefits, with great scope for progression into management basedon experience and training youwill gain onsite. The successful applicant will ideally have a Bachelor’s Chemistry or HND in Chemistry (or related discipline) and have a minimum of 2-3 years working with hazardous waste disposal. Holding an ADR license and DGSA qualification would be highly favoured, however
training can be provided.Due to the nature of this role, you must hold a full UK driving license to be considered. Duties would include (but not limited to):
Listing, segregating and packing waste for collection by our drivers on customer sitesDriving company vans to collect small waste consignmentsOperating vehicles & machinery around the yard for unloading/loadingHelping to plan daily tasks for site operatorsMentor and train Technical Chemists and OperatorsAssist the with the management ofday-to-day operationsAssisting with contractor management on site If you have fulleligibilityto work in the UK, don't wait apply now!We'd be happy to talk through the details and benefits with you.
