Senior Team Leader/Anaesthetic Lead

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Senior Sister/ Charge Nurse/Senior Operation department practitioner. to join our clinical team within our operating theatre complex at the Royal London Hospital. We currently have 26 state-of-the art elective and emergency theatres, covering a variety of specialties and complex procedures: Hepatobiliary, complex ENT, trauma & orthopaedics, reconstructive orthopaedics, neurosurgery, complex vascular surgery, intervention radiology, maxilla facial surgery, robotic procedures, renal transplants, plastic reconstructive surgery, neonatal surgery, shared airway ENT, ophthalmic surgery, along with providing paediatric expertise to the major trauma service in South East of England We also provide regular cover other specialities within the hospital, including our specialist dental treatment rooms, endoscopy unit, radio-interventional suite, MRI/CT Scanner suites and our specialised staff work along the Trauma Team in Emergency Department's Resuscitation area. This offers an opportunity to work with renowned Specialist Trauma Surgeons and Anaesthetists.Main duties of the jobThe post holder is predominantly concerned with ensuring the delivery of high standards of patient centred care ensuring the cost-effective use of resources. It combines clinical expertise, Theatre utilisation, leadership, and educational/research skills with managerial and professional responsibilities. The post holder will have overall accountability for the day-to-day management of the registered practitioners and support workers in their team. The post holder will practice at an advanced level demonstrating a high level of autonomy and clinical decision-making.
