Our client, a growing accountancy firm in Norwich who offer fantastic flexibility, have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Senior Tax Manager to join their private client team. The role will involve leading a team of managers, associates and trainees, and building strong, long-term relationships with key clients. You will be responsible for the provision of mixed tax compliance and advisory services.

You will support the Tax Director in the continued development and growth of the team along with marketing and business development initiatives. This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Tax Manager to take the next step in their career or for a Senior Tax Manager to play a key role in the development and growth of the team. Your responsibilities will include:

-    Working closely with the Tax Director to deliver the team strategy 

-    Day to day management of the UK tax team

-    Review and sign off of UK personal tax returns, trust accounts and trust tax returns

-    Provision of UK tax advisory services for individuals and trusts, including the preparation of technical tax advice notes and reports for clients 

-    Management of tax compliance processes and client relationship management

-    Supporting the team with training and development

-    Keeping up to date with UK tax law changes and sharing knowledge with the team

-    Supporting marketing and business development initiatives

Personal Attributes

-    Ideally CTA qualified (or equivalent)

-    Strong technical skills with a commercial approach

-    Background in trust and private client tax compliance and advisory

-    Results-driven, organised, with a strong work ethic and a high level of attention to detail 

-    Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships

-    Work successfully in a closely collaborative team setting, supporting the work of the UK Tax Team and the wider objectives of the business

-    Ability to manage own and team workloads and prioritise and delegate effectively

-    Happy working in a paperless environment and motivated to embrace the use of technology 

-    Work adaptably and dynamically, responding positively to new working practices and to changes in responsibilities over time

-    Contribute constructively to the development and growth of the team, offering ideas and feedback to improve our ways of working
