There’s never been a better time to join usWe are looking for an interim Senior Learning & Development Partner (Maternity Cover) to partner with the Head of Talent Development and the business to lead our Talent Development agenda - managing and delivering initiatives to continually improve capability across all levels of our organisation and drive a healthy high performing culture at Houseful. You will report into the Head of Talent Development, and together you will be responsible for delivering a range of stretching, leadership, management, individual, and team development programmes and initiatives. An expert in your field, you will play a pivotal part in turning Houseful’s ambitious growth plans into a reality. Key responsibilities
Work with the Head of Talent Development and with stakeholders at all levels to have a deep understanding of our strategic priorities, ensuring our Talent Development offering is focused on the skills and behaviours our people need to drive commercial success Hold strong relationships with stakeholders across the business - partnering closely with our Business Partners, Comms and Engagement team and People Managers/Leaders, evolving our Talent Development offering where needed to continually ensure the business meets its ambitious commercial objectives
Play a pivotal role in ensuring we are driving and enabling a culture of healthy high performance across the business - helping managers to set clear expectations around performance and ensuring our people are working on the most impactful priorities
In partnership with the Head of Talent Development,
lead the design, delivery and evaluation of our Talent Development Programmes.
With sole responsibility for the People Manager Development Programme and Aspiring Leaders Programme (including design, delivery, mentoring and coaching) Continue to strengthen capability, mindset and behaviours across our People Manager population, to boost our succession bench, retain and develop our talent, and to drive a culture of healthy high performance, psychological safety, accountability and collaboration across our business
To partner with the Head of Talent Development on managing the Talent Development budget, maintaining an emphasis on internal delivery with the strategic use of external partners Continue to lead the digital learning offering across the business which supports all of the above, including LXP management, external stakeholder management and an understanding of where to maximise effort vs impact in this space Essential skills
A flexible facilitator who is able to regularly design and deliver what the business needs. A range of stretching, leadership, management, individual, and team development programmes and initiatives A senior talent development expert, with a track record of working in a demanding, fast-paced nimble environment
Evidence of highly-developed commercial acumen, and an ability to engage and link talent development to the business agenda Proven stakeholder management, relationship and influencing skills to engage stakeholders at all levels
Strong strategic mindset, with the ability to balance strategic and operational capability, always putting what is right for the business first
Strong design and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage with all levels of the business Experience managing a Learning Experience Platform (LXP)
Ideally, exposure and/or experience of being directly involved with talent management initiatives
Ideally, exposure and/or experience of coaching and mentoring would be advantageous
Ideally, qualified and accredited in a range of psychometric tools (particularly Insights Discovery) would be advantageousPersonal characteristics A charismatic, empathetic and accessible personality, with strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrates a curious coaching, listening and questioning style
Confident design and delivery skills
Strong commercial nous, a sense of pragmatism and a team-based approach to reflect the way the Houseful People Team operates
To be comfortable with change and working in a nimble environment, ready and comfortable to flex and adapt style where needed
The necessary gravitas, interpersonal skills and commercial insight to challenge and influence at all levels
Strategically able, but agile and pragmatic with a strong delivery mentality Confident and diplomatic, with first class influencing skills and strong relationship management capability Highly motivated and resilient, with the ability to win people’s trust and confidence Autonomous and accountable, as well as a collaborative and empowering team player High levels of energy combined with a low ego, high levels of EQ and a sense of fun!
