Senior Systems Engineering Manager

I'm looking for a Senior Systems Engineering Manager to join BAE Systems in Prestwick, South Ayrshire.

This is a hybrid-working role of 3 days per week required on site and you MUST be eligible for security clearance (SC) to be considered for this role.

What you'll be doing:

As a Systems Engineering Manager you will take a leading role interfacing with our customers, understanding their requirements and keeping them involved during product development. The ability to influence a diverse and highly skilled community of engineers, whilst also interfacing with non-engineering functions across the business will be essential. As well as managing a team and senior stakeholders, you will also have the confidence to work closely with other Engineering Leads through the integration life-cycle, proposing, developing, and delivering engineering products and solutions that meet expected standards as well as meeting our customers' needs.

Essential Skills:

• Degree educated in a STEM discipline or HND/HNC with sound experience of the Engineering Life-Cycle
• Evidence based experience in an engineering integration environment. (Applicants encouraged from Aerospace, Automotive, Rail and Nuclear Industries)
• Experience of Model Based Engineering approaches and the supporting methods and toolsets. (Teamcenter PLM, DOORs, CAMEO, MATLAB, ANSYS)
• Evidence based experience of management responsibilities, managing teams and senior stakeholders
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel & PowerPoint)
• Good communication skills across all levels of an organisation
• Self-starter and pro-active but with the ability to work effectively in a team

Desirable Skills:

• Accreditation to the International Council of Systems Engineering (INCOSE) or equivalent body/institute, is desirable but not essential.

The salary is �54,793 to �62,497 plus an excellent benefits package.
