The role
Our Senior System Engineers [SSE] work on and lead a number of technical projects, ensuring solutions are pragmatic and offer improved services to the customer whilst all the while aligning with our strategy, policies and procedures.
The SSE team is divided into communities, each with their own specific area of expertise, executing different parts of the project plan; EUC, Business Applications, Network, Infrastructure Resilience and Infrastructure.
This role sits within the EUC, or End User Computing community, supporting the development of robust solutions for end user compute device migration, integration, decommissioning or roll-out.
This role will require active participation in and outside of your aligned community and continuous focus on process improvement and professional development.
Role responsibilities
Design and provision of IT solutions including full lifecycle mergers and acquisition (M&A) projects. Evaluate changes and provide solutions for Stakeholder review.
Adhere to and ensures the enforcement of all business policies.
Create and maintain documentation, including systems configuration, processes, knowledge articles, test and project plans.
Escalate issues to the Technical Team Lead/Project Manager
Work with the wider IT Teams to drive integration from an application perspective.
Skills and experience required
Demonstrable project experience; ideally within an
M&A or Transformation environment
where you have migrated, integrated or decommissioned systems, software and data.
Previous ownership of end2end large scale desktop/laptop/mobile
device deployment
Strong understanding and working knowledge of
Microsoft Intune , advanced knowledge greatly advantageous
Strong understanding and working knowledge of
Azure Virtual Desktop
(or other virtualisation tool)
Good understanding of
Microsoft 365
user admin
Previous experience of Windows 10/11 deployment
Skilled
Active Directory user
(including User Management, Group Policy, Login Scripts etc)
Confident in day-to-day management of end user compute devices (Laptops/Mobile Phones/Tablets/Printing)
PowerShell scripting advantageous
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
