Job Description We’re recruiting for aa brilliant problem-solving software engineer to work on maintenance and small change around our largest Front Office Portfolio Management System; one in the Solutions space that is responsible for around £750B worth of AUM.The main technology stack used is C# /.NET on the desktop with work ongoing to transform to a web-app & service-based architecture running on our container platforms. The purpose of this role is to support the efficient running of the growing and evolving platform and along the way the ideal candidate will need to be someone who loves finding and fixing problems and leaving things better than they found them.What you'll be doing:Being responsible for the maintenance and support of one or more in-house platforms, working with various projects and programmes to onboard large-scale change, as well as to deliver small change as requiredWorking to keep our software, infrastructure, and hardware estate up to date with upgrades and new versions to prevent obsolescence Ensuringthat code is kept in line with standards and to quality measures (recorded and enforced by SonarQube)Collaboratingwith other teams across the product lifecycle, including DevOps, Platform and Site Reliability Engineers, as well as Production Services / Tech Ops and 3rd party vendorsCollaborating with IT Security and Risk to ensure that vulnerabilities are understood and remediated accordinglyCommunicatingand maintain strong relationships with stakeholders within IT and the businessBeing able to debug production issues across services and multiple levels of the technical stack and resolve complex performance issuesBeing responsible for periodically running the daily data load, co-ordinating tasks across the teamBeing proactive in identifying areas of improvement in the daily processes and providing solutions Qualifications Who we're looking for:Recent versions of Angular. Kafka, Git, Visual Studio would be beneficial. Should be familiar with an issue management system like JIRA and Confluence.Knowledge of container platforms (Docker/Kubernetes/Openshift/Fargate) and AWS native cloud services useful.Strong SQL experienceStrong in understanding of Front-End development using Angular and/or other frameworksExperience working in a Front Office / Asset Management environment usefulExperience supporting developed applicationsExperience working in an Agile/Scrum development environmentWhatever your role, we reward performance and behaviour with a package that looks after all the things that are important to you.
