Senior Supervising Social Worker

We are seeking a Senior Supervising Social Worker to join our clients team and play a crucial role in providing a safe and nurturing environment for looked-after children.
About the Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing the fostering service and ensuring the well-being of children in their care. You will work closely with foster carers, social workers, and other professionals to provide comprehensive support and services.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Safeguarding: Ensure the safety and well-being of looked-after children by upholding fostering regulations and national standards.
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and support to foster carers and supervise other social workers and family support workers.
  • Quality Assurance: Conduct regular audits and reviews of placements, care plans, and risk assessments.
  • Recruitment & Training: Assist in recruiting, assessing, and training foster carers.
  • Collaboration: Work effectively with a team of professionals to achieve positive outcomes for children and families.


You are a perfect fit if you:

  • Have a qualifying social work degree and relevant experience in fostering or children's services.
  • Are a strong leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Possess a deep understanding of child protection legislation and safeguarding procedures.
  • Are passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and families.
  • Are flexible and able to work outside of regular office hours.
