Senior Structures Engineer

• Develop and implement the maintenance strategy and policies for all highway structures
• Lead the forward programme of works to ensure the highway structure assets are well-maintained
• Provide technical expertise and guidance on structural engineering matters
• Manage and review structural assessments and inspections
• Oversee the design and construction of new structures and the refurbishment of existing structures
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of projects
• Conduct quality assurance and control processes

• Significant experience in structural engineering, with a particular focus on highway structures
• Strong knowledge of bridge engineering and maintenance
• Proficiency in developing maintenance strategies and policies
• Experience in project management and programme delivery
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
• Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE, IStructE) is desirable
