The Opportunity:
Belcan Workforce Solutions are working with a prominent engineering and maintenance provider based in Hull, who are seeking a Lead/Senior Structural Project Engineer to join their dynamic team. With extensive offshore and onshore facility expertise, our client specialises in asset management services throughout all life cycle phases – from consulting and engineering to manufacturing, assembly, operations, maintenance, and decommissioning.
Role & Responsibilities:
As the Senior Project Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in various projects within the chemical and petrochemical industry. Your responsibilities will include:
Leading structural engineering activities in single or multi-discipline engineering, EPCM, or EPC projects.
Collaborating with the company’s procurement team to translate detailed structural steel design packages into procurement packages.
Developing work packages in liaison with the client engineering team.
Conducting technical bid evaluations from steelwork fabricators.
Working closely with steelwork fabricators to address technical queries for the client and Principal Designer.
Representing the company in stakeholder meetings.
Visiting steelwork fabrication shops to conduct quality audits.
Ensuring the quality, accuracy, and timely execution of steelwork erection on-site.
Experience & Qualifications:
You should have experience as a Senior Engineer in multi-discipline projects within an Engineering / EPCM / EPC company, preferably in relevant sectors. Good knowledge of project engineering and site interfaces. HND / BSc / BEng / MSc in Engineering. Good experience within structural engineering.
