Senior Structural Engineer

Senior Structural Design Engineer (Biopharmaceutical Cleanrooms) Permanent, full-time Northern IrelandOur client, an established UK-based Consultancy business, are looking for an ambitious Senior Structural Design Engineer to join their experienced Engineering division. The successful candidate will hold overall responsibility for structural components for projects and produce full structural engineering works to meet project complex requirements for their biopharmaceutical and data centre client bases. Role Responsibilities:Participates in the initial planning stages to present structural solution alternatives for the design team and the end client's requirementsDemonstrates a comprehensive understanding of the typical design process phases and possesses practical experience with various project delivery methods.Possesses a robust working knowledge of relevant building codes and current standards that influence structural design outcomesReviewing existing structural designs and associated drawings, offering recommendations for appropriate and appropriately scaled structural solutions for renovation, expansion, and retrofit projects.Provide assessments and suggestions concerning applicable loads, as well as loading conditionsApplies contemporary design and modelling techniques to assess materials and connections, taking into consideration factors such as strength, durability, feasibility, and cost-effectiveness.Capable of coordinating and addressing construction administration phase issues conveyed through RFI's and submittals.Clear and effective communication of proposed design solutions to key stakeholders Role Requirements:5+ years' experience in cleanroom design (preferably GMP/ISO regulated biopharmaceutical cleanrooms)B.Eng in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or other relevant Building Design disciplineProven experience with Revit and AutoCADRobust understanding on BIM tools and softwareThorough knowledge and experience with Microsoft OfficeExperience of working to FDA/ISO/GxP standards is highly desirable but not essentialExcellent organisational and problem-solving skillsExcellent stakeholder communication skills, internally and externallyProclinical is a specialist employment agency and recruitment business, providing job opportunities within major pharmaceutical, biopharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device companies.Proclinical Staffing is an equal opportunity employer.
