Alpha Associates Recruitment is seeking a Structural Engineer at either Senior or Principal level to join their client's team in their Newcastle office. The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated individual capable of managing a project from the proposal phase to construction administration. They should have prior experience in Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Retail sectors. The selected candidate will receive a competitive salary based on their experience.
Responsibilities:
Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis, and construction cost estimates.
Perform construction-related services such as shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections.
Collaborate with architects, designers, and building contractors on design and construction projects.
Ensure all drawings are of high quality to minimize errors and costly mistakes.
Liaise with team members to meet clients' demands.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience using Eurocodes, relevant design codes, and standards.
Minimum 5 years of experience working at a UK Consultancy.
Full UK License.
