We are currently seeking a talented and motivated
Chartered Structural Engineer / Senior Structural Engineer
to join our team.
Role Overview:
As an experienced Structural Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing, analysing, and ensuring the structural integrity of a variety of projects.
You will lead your team’s project delivery efforts, taking responsibility for all aspects of our projects, leading the way for our engineers and technicians and promoting design innovation.
You will maintain a hi-level overview of your team’s projects, ensuring that the design is delivered correctly and in accordance with Grays’ quality assurance procedures and health-and-safety responsibilities
You’ll collaborate with Architects, construction teams, and other professionals to create safe and efficient structures.
You will need to be experienced in running projects and should be confident in communicating with Clients, Contractors, and other Designers.
Responsibilities:
Carry out structural analysis and calculations for various structural projects.
Prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
Manage our internal project Team and provide guidance and direction to our Graduate Engineers and Technicians.
Collaborate with Clients, project managers and the wider design team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work.
Manage project delivery time and budgets.
Attend design/ site team meetings.
Perform site visits and inspections.
Stay up to date with industry standards and best practices.
Qualifications/ Attributes:
Chartered Engineer (MIStructE/ MICE) status preferred. Non-chartered applicants will be considered if they are on route to Chartership.
Degree (MEng/BEng) in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Proven experience in structural design and analysis.
Proficient in relevant software tools (e.g, AutoCAD, Tekla, TEDDS, REVIT).
Understanding of BIM requirements up to and including Level 2.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team.
Self-motivated team player with good people skills.
