Senior Structural Engineer

A confident Senior Structural Engineer with experience across multiple sectors and the ability to work both independently and within a team now required to join a longstanding, established building and engineering consultancy based out of their Leeds office.The Senior Structural Engineer The senior structural engineer will be required to support both collaboratively and independently across several sectors including:Insurance companies, historic builds, healthcare/NHS projects, care homes, retail projects and more.Role and Responsibilities of the Structural Engineer include:Structural Surveys and producing reportsTechnical design using structural software'sIdentifying defectsReporting on damageManagement of junior staff and coordinating refurbishment projectsLiaising with clients throughout the project and keeping them up to dateManaging multiple projects at one time, ranging from £50,000 to £1M in valueProduction of specifications, schedules of work, budget estimatesLiaising with local authorities to achieve planning permission and statutory consentsAssisting with tenders and completing contract administrationTechnical design ( drawings, calculations, specifications and reports)Reviewing drawings, reports, sketches and calculationsPreparation of feasibility reportsSite visits, full driving license and vehicle requiredManage sub-contractorsAttending design meetingsThe Structural Engineer must also have:HND Structural or Civil Engineering5+ years experience in British standardsFull driving licenseExperience and confident in designing in concrete, steelwork, timber and masonryIStructE desirableExperience with Tekla Building Designer or SCIACAD experienceIn Return…Salary: £45,000 - £60,000Hybrid working25 days ALPensionCareer developmentProfessional subscriptions paidPrivate medical InsurancePerformance BonusIf you are a Structural Engineer, considering your career opportunities, please contact Megan Cole at Brandon James.REF: 18397MC
