Alpha Associates Recruitment is seeking a Structural Engineer at either Senior or Principal level to join their client's team in their Newcastle office. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual capable of managing projects from proposal phase to construction administration. They should have experience in Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Retail sectors and will receive a competitive salary based on experience.
Responsibilities:
Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis, and construction cost estimates.
Perform construction-related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections.
Collaborate with architects, designers, and building contractors on project design and construction.
Ensure all drawings are of high quality to minimize costly mistakes and errors.
Liaise with team members to meet client demands.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience using Eurocodes, relevant design codes, and standards.
Minimum 5 years of experience working at a UK Consultancy.
Full UK License.
