Alpha Associates Recruitment is seeking a Structural Engineer at either Senior or Principal level to join their client's team based in Newcastle office. The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated individual capable of managing projects from proposal phase to construction administration. Previous experience in Residential, Commercial, Industrial, or Retail sectors is preferred. Competitive salary based on experience.
Responsibilities:
Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications, design analysis, and construction cost estimates.
Perform construction-related services such as shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and specialized structural inspections.
Collaborate with architects, designers, and building contractors on project design and construction.
Ensure all drawings meet high standards to minimize errors and costly mistakes.
Liaise with team members to meet client demands.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Experience using Eurocodes, relevant design codes, and standards.
Minimum 5 years of experience working at a UK Consultancy.
Full UK License.
