Senior Structural Engineer
Required for my client, a multi-disciplinary consultancy operating within the Civil and Structural Engineering, Architecture, and Expert Witness sectors. The Senior Structural Engineer will support the growth of the Engineering team based in Exeter. This position is ideal for an ambitious individual with the drive and passion to help grow the existing team and provide excellent technical advice to clients.
Senior Structural Engineer Position Remuneration
Competitive Salary DOE
Pension: 7.5% employer contribution

Senior Structural Engineer Position Overview
The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for:
Undertaking technical and feasibility studies, including organizing site investigations
Developing detailed structural designs and hand calculations
Preparing reports, contract documents, and managing tenders
Providing technical advice to clients and junior team members
Obtaining planning and/or building regulation approval
Monitoring and inspecting work by contractors
Resolving design and development problems
Managing budget and project resources
Ensuring project compliance with legal requirements
Assisting with training and development of the engineering team
Inspecting/supervising construction work on-site under contract
Preparing interim and final accounts, claims, and ensuring practical completion
Senior Structural Engineer Position Requirements
MEng within Structural Engineering
Chartered or close to chartership with IStructE
Experience and extensive knowledge of consulting engineering, surveying, architectural & planning practices
Awareness of the latest statutory requirements, technical publications, and guidelines
Experience in projects ranging from house extensions to large developments
Knowledge of CDM2015, Party wall, Listed buildings
Experience in negotiation, supervision, and leadership roles
Ability to work within deadlines and budgets on large-scale projects
