Senior Structural Engineer - FaÇAde

Senior Façade Engineer - Required for our client who are a forward thinking and independent Façade, Civil and Structural Engineering Consultancy. They are looking for an enthusiastic and driven Engineer with proven UK experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for their own projects as well as managing intermediate and graduate engineers in the team. In addition to this, the Facade Engineer will be will be expected to manage project budgets and engage with client and fellow consultants.Senior Façade Engineer Position RemunerationStarting salary £40,000 - £58,000 (dependant on experience)25 days annual leave plus additional days for long serviceThe ability to buy and sell holiday daysFamily friendly policies including flexible and hybrid workingEmployee Referral SchemeProfessional development5% pension contributionPrivate healthcareCycle to Work Scheme Senior Façade Engineer Position OverviewProduct and manage projects, providing high quality technical designCreate technical design information including drawings, calculations, specifications and reportsReview and approve reports, designs, drawings, sketches and calculations in accordance with quality proceduresManage the preparation of feasibility studies and reportsUndertake structural surveys and produce reports giving findings, discussion, conclusions and recommendationsUndertake the project management and financial control of small and medium sized projectsLiaise effectively with clients, local authorities and other design team membersSupervise and monitor the use of computer-based systems to ensure these are used correctlySupervise and support junior members of the teamAssist in the preparation of bids and proposalsAdhere to existing working practices, methods and proceduresPlan site investigation works Senior Façade Engineer Position RequirementsAn innate understanding of structural engineering and façade physicsHND/HNC or higher in civil or structural engineeringStrong understanding of engineering principlesCompetent with computer analysis of structures and design of structural elements in steel, stainless steel, aluminium, timber and glassExperience of briefing CAD techniciansExperience in delegating, supervising and mentoring junior team membersCommitment to continual improvement at a personal and company levelConversant in designing to British Standards/EurocodesGood understanding of CDM regulations and responsibilities of a designerBennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
