The highest standard of nursing care has played a vital role in achieving outstanding surgical treatment outcome indicators at this private hospital.Core responsibilities:To act with the upmost professionalism and to adhere to the NMC code of conduct Monitor and assist in the delivery of patient-centred care Respect the patient s dignity, privacy, wishes and beliefs A hands on role within the nursing environment Mentor staff and provide leadership and direction to the nursing team, supporting the Marton and Deputy Ward Manager Encourage, develop and enhance the skills and knowledge of others and self Promote best evidence-based practice Apply and comply with legislation, policies and proceduresWhat you will be doing:Be involved in the daily handovers to communicate all aspects of care and needs To demonstrate excellent communication skills within all nursing care To assess and plan nursing daily care Provide pre- and post-operation care Monitor and administer medication and intravenous infusions Take patient samples, pulses, temperatures and blood pressures To supervise junior staff and tutor student nurses Organise and prioritise workloads Provide emotional support to patients and relatives To efficiently and accurately complete all written documentation and record keeping Be a role model to other staff on all departmental and hospital-wide matters Ensure the working environment is as safe as possible and complies with company, professional, legal requirements and guidelines Adhere to Infection Prevention Control policies and procedures Support care quality improvement initiatives To work closely with the Procurement DepartmentFor further details please contact (url removed) or call our dedicated recruitment team on (phone number removed)
