Senior Specialist Clinical PharmacistPrincess Grace Hospital, LondonFull time Permanent post - 37.5 hours per weekSalary Competitive + benefits + trainingThe role:Working alongside the Pharmacy Manager and Lead Clinical Pharmacist you will work to provide a safe and patient focused Clinical Pharmacy service to the hospital wards.To participate in ward rounds in order to make pro-active interventions on drug related issues.To communicate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team (doctors, nurses, dietitians, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and ward managers), to intermediate care, general practice support and community pharmacists in the provision of medicine related information and assessment of patients treatment.To promote effective prescribing across the hospital following formulary, NICE, and any other relevant national or local guidance.To act as an Ambassador for pharmacy and a role model for junior staff in providing a consistently high standard of pharmaceutical service to patients in line with corporate and departmental objectives.To train and participate in the provision of antimicrobial ward rounds including training and assessing new pharmacists if required.To deputise for the Lead Pharmacists in their absence.Skills and Experience;EssentialB. Pharm / M. Pharm / BSc (Pharmacy).Registered with the GPhC.Postgraduate Diploma in either Clinical Pharmacy or General Pharmacy Practice (or equivalent - MSc in Clinical Pharmacy) or be able to demonstrate the intention to complete within 6 months of being in post.A minimum of 4 years post registration experience in hospital pharmacy.Demonstrable experience in clinical pharmacy practice covering a broad range of specialities.Supervision and training of others.Examples of Clinical Audit and Literature EvaluationsWillingness to participate in weekend, late-duty, bank holiday and on-call rotas as required.DesirableMember of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society Previous experience of delivering formal education and training sessions.Development of evidence based guidelines.Experience working with medical and nursing teams.#LI-HA2
