Our client, a leading global IT service provider, is recruiting for a Senior Solutions Architect - SFG Infrastructure to join their business in the UK.

Requirements:
Must have a Bachelor's Degree.
Design and implement a containerization strategy for SFG to ensure scalability for future demand.
Evaluate the current infrastructure and identify areas where containerization can enhance scalability.
Provide architectural guidance for introducing new features to meet increasing demand.
Assess the existing architecture and identify opportunities for introducing features such as file format conversions and ad-hoc file transfer capabilities.
Determine the feasibility and impact of integrating these features into the SFG system.
Offer architectural recommendations to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of new features.
Identify manual processes within partner onboarding and configuration maintenance and implement automation tools or scripting to streamline and accelerate these processes.
Explore technologies like Ansible or Puppet for automating partner onboarding and configuration management.
Evaluate the current infrastructure for potential single points of failure and implement measures to enhance platform resiliency.
Implement load balancers to distribute traffic and improve system resilience.
Enhance partner adapters and components to handle failures gracefully.
Consider redundancy and failover mechanisms for critical components.
Develop automated tracking mechanisms to monitor file volumes and implement alerts and notifications to address capacity issues proactively.
Establish a capacity planning process to ensure sufficient resources are available to meet demand.
Investigate options for on-demand file push/pull mechanisms, integrate virus scanning capabilities, and optimize business processes related to file handling for improved efficiency.
Explore alternatives to traditional file shares, such as cloud storage or object storage solutions.
Utilize tools like IBM Control Center (ICC) and Splunk for monitoring SFG.
Configure alerting capabilities within these tools to receive real-time notifications for critical events.
Establish comprehensive monitoring dashboards to gain visibility into system performance.
Define and execute an evergreen strategy for SFG, including regular updates and patching to address security vulnerabilities.
Monitor security advisories and promptly apply recommended security patches.
Define a maintenance schedule to ensure timely remediation of vulnerabilities.
Assess the feasibility of migrating SFG to a cloud-based infrastructure.
Define a roadmap for the cloud migration, considering scalability, security, and cost factors.
Develop an architecture that seamlessly integrates with cloud services and provides flexibility for future enhancements.
Review the existing disaster recovery plan for SFG and implement robust backup and recovery mechanisms.
Regularly test the recovery procedures to ensure their effectiveness and relevance.
Technical Knowledge:
Proficiency in IBM Sterling File Gateway (SFG) or similar managed file transfer (MFT) solutions, preferably in the BFSI industry
Experience in system architecture design and evaluation.
Familiarity with scalable and resilient system architectures.
Automation skills using tools like Ansible, Puppet, or scripting languages.
Understanding of system resiliency principles and methodologies.
Knowledge of load balancing techniques and high availability configurations.
Experience with capacity planning and demand management processes.
Familiarity with file transfer protocols and technologies (FTP, SFTP, AS2, HTTPS).
Understanding of monitoring tools and technologies (IBM Control Center, Splunk).
Knowledge of security best practices for file transfer systems.
Project management experience in system optimization and enhancement initiatives.
Ability to analyze business processes and optimize efficiency.
Understanding of cloud platforms and migration strategies.
