We want to make sure that physicians spend their time fighting cancer, not software. We are looking for a Software Engineer who will craft Control Systems and related applications software for our Radiotherapy systems, encompassing a suite with service applications, factory test software, and an interface between external Treatment Management software and Real-Time control software. Occasional adjustments to the Real-Time control systems software and migration to a containerized micro-service platform are part of the role. You will operating within a scrum team on an Agile Release Train under Scaled Agile (SAFe), the role emphasizes software quality in a safety-critical environment.This role is dynamic, offering opportunities for growth and additional responsibilities as needed. If you're ready to contribute to innovative solutions and lead technical directions, this role awaits your expertise.What you’ll do at Elekta The Senior Software Engineers responsibilities include (but are not limited to):Full-stack development, spanning desktop-based UI to messaging and storage solutions.Maintaining and enhancing software quality metrics, ensuring thorough testing at all levels of the V model.Adherence to development processes and documentation standards.Contribution to CI/CD pipeline and test automation enhancements.Collaborative spirit, sharing technical insights for innovation and improvement.Professionalism in team meetings and timely completion of tasks.Continuous improvement through training is encouraged to stay current with industry trends in healthcare and software engineering. Active participation in scrum teams involves delivering tasks and assisting others where priorities demand it.Additional responsibilities include safety analysis participation, autonomous work capability, developing domain knowledge, proactivity in stakeholder needs anticipation, supporting high-priority issues, and assisting in the development of team members. The role entails guiding product development direction across teams, considering both business and technical drivers. Building and maintaining relationships, defining requirements, providing architectural input, and identifying improvements to processes and team dynamics are integral aspects.What you bring This is a wish list.
