A Senior Tech Lead / Principal Software Engineer opportunity within a high performing software engineering department. The Senior Tech Lead
will take a hands-on role in leading the development and associate processes of a Consumer Search product as part of a full stack team.
The position requires commercial experience of Consumer Search product development for a retail business or similar. Candidates who are Tech agnostic are preferred, but backgrounds with modern JavaScript libraries and modern Cloud platform experience is preferred.
Your areas of expertise:
A strong background in software engineering; ideally full stack and exposure to modern cloud platforms.
Commercial experience with Semantic Search, AI Search optimisation, Elasticsearch or similar
Leading by example in setting software engineering best practice and standards; SOLID, TDD, CI/CD, DevOps, etc
The ability to work with Product and Data Science teams in building complex customer facing products.
Delivering in Big Tech, Marketplace, or similar environments.
Experienced in technical decision making and software architecture, Event Driven, Microservices or similar.
The business offer hybrid working options with the usual ratio of 2-3 days per week in their London offices.
