As Test Engineer you will join a team of friendly, highly qualified and accomplished professionals and have the opportunity to make a real difference.Office working: Hybrid3 days in Basingstoke office Key Responsibilities will include:Go through the software requirements and get clarifications on one’s doubtsBecome familiar with the software under test and any other software related to itUnderstand the test planGenerate test cases based on the requirements and other documentsProcure or create test data required for testingSet up the required test beds (hardware, software and network)Test software releases by executing assigned tests (manual and/ or automatedLog defects on defect management tool Create test logsReport test results to the test and product ownerProvide clarification for the reassigned bugs (for example, when a bug report is returned as not reproducible)Re-test resolved defectsUpdate test cases based on the discovered defectsProvide inputs to the team in order to improve the test processReport work progress and any problems faced to the Test Lead or Manager as requiredSupport Offshore test resource in setting up test environment. Support the team with other activities as required, if anyEssential Skills and Experience:You will have come from a solid testing background with experience in manual and automation testing, including writing tests scripts from scratchKnowledge and/or experience with OOPs concepts & 5+ years of in software testing Working in agile environment & embedded domain is a Must.Test management tools such as Quality Centre/ALM, SpiraTest, practices. Using defect management tool such as Mantis, Jira etc.
