Senior Software Engineer - Full Stack Developer

Your role
As a seasoned java developer, you will work together with business users and members of the development team to provide quality systems that improve productivity, decrease operational risk, enable the business to expand and make users smile. These are high profile applications that offer you the opportunity to craft the future technical direction and take ownership for functional components
We are looking for someone who can: • implement and deliver high quality software solutions / components for the Credit Risk Monitoring platform.• analyze business requirements, design implementable technical solutions that leverage process and development best practice• demonstrate superior collaboration skills in working closely with other development, testing and implementation teams to roll-out important regulatory and business improvement programs.• leverage his/her expertise to mentor and lead developers; review code/designs and ensure adherence to standards.• play a key role in platform modernization while continuously improving the existing systems
Your team
You will be working within Credit Risk Monitoring Stream and in EOD Monitoring Crew , working closely with colleagues in UK, Zurich, Poland and India including DevOps, developers, BA's and Automation Engineers
Your expertise
Your expertise :• In-depth experience in high volume and high performance, scalable application design experience• experience of building cloud ready and migrating applications using Azure and understanding of the Azure Native Cloud services, software design and enterprise integration patterns• a strong team player who takes and drives initiative• organized, well-structured and with drive to deliver high quality software solutions / components• proactive, comfortable working as part of a global team in dynamic environments, with fast-paced deliveries and changing requirements• excellent communication skills and presentation skillsEssential technical skills:• significant experience in full-stack Java-based development, using Java, Spring Boot, J2EE • knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL (Oracle) and UNIX • knowledge of Frontend development using React JS• experience using supporting toolsets such as GitLab, Maven/Gradle, Cucumber, jUnit
Added Advantage:• familiarity with Risk domain• a real passion for and experience of Agile working practices, with a strong desire to work with baked in quality subject areas such as TDD, BDD, test automation and DevOps principles • good to have experience in Azure development including Databricks , Azure Services , ADLS etc
