Here at NICE Public Safety, we provide state of the art solutions for the Public Safety & Justice market, providing software as a service for multi-media evidence management and Emergency Contact Centres to a worldwide customer base.
We provide both cloud and on-premise software products to these markets.
We are looking for an Enterprise Solution Architect to join our solution architecture team.
Scope:
Our product suites are developed by multiple global development teams, with each team delivering a component of the overall solution. Our solution architecture team provides top level architecture and guidance to co-ordinate the work of the individual development teams.
Our solution architects are also responsible for forming the long-term technical strategy of the business unit.
The solution architecture team provides design governance for the development teams by participating in the team's key reviews of our Disciplined Agile process.

Each team member holds particular focus. We are currently looking for a candidate whose key focus will be our roadmap for media and metadata storage.
Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for:
Working with Product Managers to advise on technical solutions for identified market needs.
Preparing high level technical architecture documents for new product capabilities.
Providing direction to the development teams to ensure consistent technologies are used where appropriate across the solution.
Working with the rest of the Solution architecture team to document technical process and policy.
Providing technical governance by attending development team reviews ensuring both documented technical policies are being adhered to and designs are well thought through.
Knowledge and experience:
Must have
Proven track record of breaking down complex market requirements into secure, scalable and resilient system designs.
Experience with Software as a Service product development.
Experience with multi-tenant cloud solutions.
Experience providing solutions hosted in Microsoft Azure.
Experience working with Product Managers and Product Owners to define achievable product features.
Experience of work in an Agile Development Environment.
Experience providing technical management to global teams.
Evidence of an ability to assess and introduce new technologies to a team.
Nice to have
Experience of NoSQL data tools.
Experience of managing large data stores.
Experience creating RESTful APIs and ensuring API extensibility.
Ability to prototype in C#, JavaScript, PowerShell or similar.
Experience in writing Technical Systems / Solutions Documentation
Understanding of the principles of network security, authentication and authorization.
Experience of working with video and audio.
Experience in re-architecting systems to utilise new technological advances.
Experience with the Public Safety and criminal justice market.
Education
A successful candidate should have:
Degree level education in a STEM subject.
