We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join the Children and Families Assessment Team at Hampshire County Council. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in assessing the needs of children and families, providing support, and facilitating positive outcomes for vulnerable individuals. this position would be operating out of Hart and Rushmoor, part time hours will be considered!
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments of children and families to determine their needs and risks.
Develop and implement effective care plans in collaboration with families and relevant stakeholders.
Provide guidance and support to less experienced social workers within the team.
Work closely with other professionals, including health practitioners, educators, and law enforcement, to ensure coordinated support for families.
Attend case conferences, court hearings, and multidisciplinary meetings as required.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records in accordance with statutory requirements and departmental policies.
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with current registration with Social Work England.
Significant experience working within a children and families social work setting, including experience in conducting assessments and managing complex cases.
Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and procedures relating to child protection and safeguarding.
