Morrison Water Services Ltd are currently looking to recruit a Senior Site Manager to work across a wide portfolio of projects within our MEICA Scotland Team. The role is based on site reporting to the Project Manager and will involve travel as needed.
The MWS Scotland region currently delivers a number of frameworks for Scottish Water including the MEICA replacement operational alliance DV2 Lot 4, the Regional Contractor Services (RCS) Framework and other specialist frameworks, as well for a portfolio of non-regulated clients. The business is currently at c. £130m p.a with further growth planned.
The Site Manager will be responsible for safe delivery of the project whilst achieving commercial expectations. A key part of the role will be establishing a strong relationship with Scottish Water and their Stakeholders at Site and Project level.
As the Senior Site Manager you will be a ccountable for the management and supervision of site teams on a large value or portfolio of projects. You will e nsure all sites are compliant with company SHEQ policy and procedure and drive a strong Health & Safety and quality focus culture. You will u ndertake site safety audits and ensure that the site teams undertake their own audits. You must have a t horough understanding of the project commercial position and efficiency targets and ensure that project costs are recorded and utilised efficiently.
You will be required to identify areas where the client should be made aware of issues through the EWN system. You will e nsure that materials have been procured and delivered and labour has been planned in accordance with construction programme. You will be a ccountable for a high standard of site H&S paperwork and ensuring CDM principle contractor obligations and duties are adhered to. You will provide a focus on continued improvement in all SHEQ areas. You will e nsuring all site returns are recorded and reported into the management team
You will also liaise with the project teams to feedback on milestones and issues that arise. You will manage subcontract packages of work and ensure sub-contractor construction programme are adhered to, identifying and reporting areas of concern/delay. You will be required to manage private land access and highway possessions. Also you will manage work fronts in local communities and ensure a positive approach to dealing with members of the public
Do you hold a Mechanical/Electrical or Civil engineering degree or similar qualification?
Have you gained management experience within the construction industry?
Do you hold a driving licence? You will require one for this role
Can you demonstrate effective communication skills with the ability to influence?
Have you gained SHEA Water qualification?
