About this Role:

Great opportunity for a Senior Site Manager to work with the team on the redevelopment of an existing education facility comprising some 20+ buildings into residential apartments over a 2.5 year programme of works.

Reporting to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing all site-based construction activities for your area / building including short-term programming of works, health and safety, review of method statements, risk assessments, call off of materials, logistics, quality control, internal client liaison, sub-contractor coordination meetings, reporting on progress against program, etc, snagging and handovers.

This project has commenced on site with early enabling works and soft strip demolition phase and is due to complete in 2027. Works will be completed over several phases on multiple buildings at a time.

The works include refurbishment and change of use to some listed buildings, cut and carve refurbishment to several larger and smaller buildings, some partial demolition and new build, plus landscaping works across the large five acre site.

About the Company/Client/Project:

This developer client is well established in the South Coast area with a range of hotels, retirement homes, commercial offices and high spec residential developments in the Hampshire and Dorset areas both completed and within its existing pipeline of work over the next few years. Projects range in value from �10m to �35m, and include refurbishments, new builds, change of use, etc in these sectors.

The Head Office is in Southampton.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

The successful candidate will have 8-10+ years of experience as a Site to Senior Manager, will be highly motivated and proactive, demonstrating sound technical, practical, organisational, team-management and communication skills. A proven track record of undertaking similar work with a main contractor or similar developer in the area would be advantageous.

Ideally from a trades or construction management background with a sharp eye for detail and quality, you will possess good planning and problem solving ability, with a positive, 'get it right first time' approach.

This role will suit an out on site, 'boots on the ground' type of Site Management approach - someone who prefers to be out on the site making sure trades have all they need and are working safely, on programme, to the right quality, with all the correct information, etc.

You will possess your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications for this role.
