Working on a Residential Modular Project

Based in Bristol

Position good to knows

• Required for a long-term residential modular construction project


• Project requires a strong Site Manager with good eye for a build plan


• Position will take over with the project at Civils stage which is 75% complete


• Will be required on site all the way through to Finishing/Snagging/handover


• Project will run until 2025


• Project will consist of 40 units


• Looking for a Senior Site Manager who can stamp their authority and lead the project


• Experience of modular builds would be an advantage 


• Ability to manage all trades and stick to project plan and delivery

Headline of the Senior Site Manager role

• Opportunity to be number one on site working closing with the Project Director


• Main scope of the project would be so oversee the lead subcontractor on the lifting and install of the modular pods on site


• Candidate must be strong organiser and ideally be aware and have practical knowledge of Astra (planning software) and Planning in general


• The ideal candidate should have a good head for contracts and understand expectations and issues about non delivery


• Modular experience would be good, especially overseeing lifts but units are resi units so again this would probably be a good angle


• Level of candidate would be a senior SM and certainly someone to run the project


• Must be able to drive the project plan and meet handover targets


• Must be strong on health and safety


• Opportunity to handover units


• Keen to speak candidates who can bring experience of residential and modular projects

Your key duties as Senior Site Manager

• Ensuring quality working towards quality standards


• Co-ordinate labour and trades


• Monitor and support the site build programme and control material levels


• Work with and assist a supportive team, but on a day today basis you will be the sole main person on the project

Key experiences you should have as Senior Site Manager

• Solid work history of delivering construction projects


• Be a great communicator with the ability to support your site team


• Developing knowledge of the housebuilding and modular construction process


• Ideally be from a trade background or have developed skills from activity being on live projects

Key must have’s you should have as the successful Senior Site Manager

•             CSCS

•             First Aid At Work Certificate
