Your Mission
As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, your mission is to transform and enhance our ServiceNow platform, driving operational excellence throughout the organization. You'll lead IT service management innovations, aligning our technology with strategic goals to boost efficiency and effectiveness. Your expertise will enable superior service delivery and set new industry standards. Your role is key in making our operations more agile and responsive, ensuring our leadership in technological advancements.
How you’ll fit in to the big picture ✨
As a Senior ServiceNow Developer, you will be integral to our tech team, driving the development and enhancement of our ServiceNow platform. You will design user-friendly interfaces and robust features, ensuring cross-device compatibility using advanced JavaScript and responsive design. Your role involves integrating third-party APIs, maintaining high standards through the software development life cycle (SDLC), and conducting thorough testing. Join us to lead in optimizing our ServiceNow capabilities, ensuring our solutions are both innovative and scalable.
What you’ll be doing
Analyse and clarify system enhancement requirements, ensuring clear communication with users to capture all necessary details
Design, develop, and maintain new and existing features, enhancements, and modules for the ServiceNow platform
Follow established software development life cycles (SDLC) to create solutions that meet enhancement requests
Develop user-friendly, visually appealing front-end interfaces for ServiceNow, ensuring compatibility across multiple devices and browsers using JavaScript
Integrate third-party extensions and APIs, such as payment gateways and ERP systems, using ServiceNow’s customization tools
Conduct thorough testing of developed solutions, document test results, and ensure all scenarios are considered
Implement and monitor the effectiveness of system enhancements, maintaining ongoing communication with users
Provide updates and modifications to improve the core functionality of the ServiceNow platform
Enhance the performance of the ServiceNow platform
Create and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture, coding standards, and module guides
Train and develop team members, enhancing their skills and knowledge
What experience we think you’ll need
Extensive experience in developing and customizing ServiceNow
Proficient in ServiceNow architecture and development practices
Expertise in JavaScript, JSON, APIs, SSO, and Azure
Familiarity with core ServiceNow modules:
ITSM, ITOM, CSM, CMDB, Change, Incident, Problem Management, HAM, and SAM
Advanced skills in implementing ServiceNow solutions
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
Required certifications:
ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ITSM Professional Suite, Certified Implementation Specialist, and CSM Professional Certification
Desirable:
ITIL certification, CIS-HAM, CIS-CSM, and Application Developer Core Skills Micro-Certification Suite
