The salary banding for this role is £68,202 - £75,780

Manchester
HOURS:
35 hours, full time
WORKING PATTERN:
Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at one of our office sites.
About this opportunity
This role is within our Network and Perimeter Security team. Our remit includes delivering new security products and services whilst continually improving our existing ones. Our approach to Cloud is product aligned which means that this role will include tasks that related to the end to end shaping and support of our product. This can include strategy, roadmaps, build and run.
We’re looking for a motivated individual to ensure that the appropriate security controls are in place and effective. You’ll be focusing on keeping bank services safe while simultaneously supporting programme timescales and business outcomes. You should be able to define security requirements, create designs, identify risks and define controls to mitigate the risks. These skills will help you to guide technical programmes ensuring that security is embedded in the best manner for the Bank. As a Senior Cloud Security Engineer, you will be working across the Group’s Google and Azure cloud platforms to realise the next generation of services that form the Bank’s vision.
In this role you’ll be:
Providing security leadership, guidance and consultation to diverse teams built from a mixture of LBG employee’s, contractors and 3rd party consultants
Owning the end-to-end security view for specific platform components and shared services
Becoming an SME for Products / Services in your aligned Product Team: delivering change, fulfilling run tasks and scoping then delivering enhancements to existing capabilities / processes
Supporting new joiners and enhancing onboarding / upskilling processes
Contributing to team and platform maturity with recommendations, ideas and improvements
Working with the Lead Security Engineer and Product Owner to define a roadmap for Product Team owned Products + Services

What you’ll need Hands on engineering experience working with: Terraform, Python, Azure DevOps, GitHub, CI/CD, IaC, PaaSHands on experience working with network security tooling eg: Firewalls, WAF, IDPS, NDR, DDoS etcConceptual knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, JenkinsNetwork security tooling experienceExperience working on a Public Cloud – Azure or GCP And any experience of these would be really useful
