Job Description A key purpose of this role is supporting the design and build of reports, dashboards and data extracts needed to review leading indicators of sales performance and customer analytics. Working to understand and provide solutions to business requirements. Solutions must be efficient and effective in their use and design, turning data into actionable insights and intelligence.The role holder will develop great internal relationships with teams across the business and provide support to stakeholders within the Sales function. As well as building reports and dashboards, there is also the need to ensure that those reports and related applications are working effectively and continue to meet the needs of the business. Additionally, a key part of the role involves the auditing data for quality through its lifecycle to ensure its accuracy and efficacy for each use case. Responsibilities to include: Sales Performance ReportingSupport the Sales division in reaching their goals through data analysisBecome a subject matter expert on sales performance reportingGenerate insightful recommendations from reporting to improve commercial performanceUnderstand the end-to-end sales process and ensure reporting drives consistent improvements Customer Usage ReportingSupport the creation and maintenance of customer usage reports and dashboardsSupport requests for ad-hoc analysis required in custom formats Product Pricing and Go-To Market Reporting Support the creation and maintenance of pricing and go-to-market reports and dashboards This may include data audit activities, maintenance of price books and other pricing tools Support the price setting process, including discount analysis, risk analysis & replacement costs Sales Resourcing and Target Setting Data audit activities to ensure alignment of sales opportunity and target ownerships throughout the year, and to ensure sales opportunity ownerships fall within sales matrix rules Work with Global Sales Managers and Account Managers to correct issues discovered GeneralAct as a key point of contact for data and reporting queriesAuditing of data for quality through its lifecycle to ensure its accuracy and efficacy for useProvide day-to-day support to key stakeholders, understanding issues and requirements, ensuring quick and high-quality responseCreate and maintain documentation to provide clear understanding of processesEnsure actions and tasks are delivered on schedule and to a high standardEnsure any delays/issues are raised and items escalated as appropriateOperate with best practice to deliver a globally consistent 'best in class' serviceEnsure quality and accuracy in all work completedProactive in terms of identifying key stakeholder needs (business partner mindset)All reporting, analytical and insight solutions must be effective, optimal and scalable
Qualifications 5+ years of related experience in a similar roleRelevant Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience of sales environments and data, with acute commercial and business awarenessExperience of working with complex datasets / data models / building dashboardsAdvanced knowledge of MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables & reporting, data models etc.)Advanced knowledge of MS Power BIAdvanced knowledge of DAX programming languageKnowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)Analytically minded with strong problem solving and data analysis skillsSound commercial acumen to think strategically about business metrics and leversCurious and driven to unlock the insights available in large complex datasetsAbility to effectively articulate insights based on the audience typeAbility to utilise data/facts to challenge assumptions and influence decision makingComfortable with ambiguity in a global, matrixed organisationGood organisation and time management skills, with the ability to work autonomouslyStakeholder management and the ability to elicit clear requirementsStrong communication skills with ability to present clear informationAbility to build internal networks and maintain effective relationshipsConfident, self-motivated, professional, proactive, and entrepreneurialA high level of attention to detail
