Unit 6 Harmony Heights S.C, Skyline Drive, Lisburn, BT27 4HHContract TypeFull-Time PermanentClosing Date24/04/2024Hours- 30 hours a weekPurposeTo provide the best level of service to customers, thereby maximising sales and profitTo assist and support the Store Manager in all aspects of the business including sales, security, cash and stock controlTo control and operate a Winemark store in the Store Managers absence in accordance with Company policies and proceduresResponsibilitiesTo assist and support the Manager in the following:staff training and developmentmotivating and encouraging the team to attain sales targetsensuring staff adhere to all Company instructions, policies and proceduresensuring the store is operated in accordance with Company budgetsplanning and implementing any changes in promotional activityadministration, for example, investigating cash / stock discrepancies, payroll and marketing These responsibilities are in addition to the following:To assist in customer relations by maintaining excellent customer service at all times, including an up to date knowledge of store products on displayIdentifying selling opportunities and acting on theseTo assume responsibility for housekeeping standards both inside and outside the store according to Company standardsTo ensure that the premises are safe and secure at all timesTo comply with the Company regulations with regard to cash handling and administrationTo comply with all health and safety information and to ensure compliance with all licensing and trading standards legislationAny other duties relevant and related to the postQualificationsMaths and English GCSE (Grade C or above) or equivalentOR1 year previous supervisory experience in a retail or customer focused environmentNVQ Level 2 & 3 in Customer Service or Retail Operations or equivalentWSET Level 1 Wine Certificate; Level 2 also preferredMust be committed to successfully completing WSET Level 2 Award in Wines and SpiritsSkills and ExperienceMinimum of 6 months experience in a retail environmentTo demonstrate the ability to solve problems and to work on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Leadership qualities – to demonstrate your potential to be able to lead a team of people in the absence of the Store Manager and be able to set a positive example. Have the ability to sustain consistent performance even under pressure, and willing to take on extra responsibility when requiredPrevious experience of an EPOS system and cash handlingPrevious experience of stock handling and controlCommunication Skills – a proven ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers, demonstrating good written, verbal and listening skillsCustomer focused - maintains a professional level of customer service at all times; identifies accurately the needs of internal and external customers and works to exceed the customer’s expectations by delivering a high quality serviceAbility to actively sell to customersPersonal Drive and a pleasant, positive and enthusiastic, “can do” attitude, demonstrating an appropriate level of motivationExcellent standard of dress and appearanceA valid driving license plus access to a carPrevious experience in an off licence environmentPrevious experience in a supervisory role
