Our client is seeking an experienced and self-motivated Senior Robotics Engineer to join an established automation company serving the food industry.

With a hands-on role throughout the life cycle of the machine, you will be working within a multi-disciplinary team. You will be designing and developing the software aspects of both our standard range of machinery, and the many bespokeapplications we supply, including robotic cutting and handling systems.�

The role will involve commissioning of software on the machine at the clients premises in Buckinghamshire and, depending on the system, the recommissioning of the new machineryon site. The successful applicant must have experience and background in robot programming, preferably ABB and Mitsubishi, and worked on automation systems. The engineer must be confident in electrical and mechanical assemblies, and the ability to read and understand electrical drawings and mechanical component assemblies in order to program the machine successfully.�

The ideal candidate will be flexible, positive, motivated to keep projects to schedule, will be equally comfortable working bothindividually and within a team, and a readiness to travel within the UK and internationally. Main Duties and requirements





��� �Minimum 3 years' experience in robot software design and implementation within special purpose machinery / Automation.

��� �Confidently design and implement software for some or all aspects of capital machinery assemblies and sub-assemblies from the ground up for use in the food industry in line with company standards and current legislation.

��� �Performing software design calculations where required; speed calcs, motor sizing, control equipment required to facilitate the application.

��� �Determining and implementing test criteria for automation productivity, safety, and reliability.�

��� �Working with high and low voltage equipment.

��� �Technical support and troubleshooting system errors for customers.

��� �Attend customer sites across the UK and internationally for machine installation & commissioning purposes, where required.

��� �Work in accordance with the project quotation and client's requirements.

��� �Liaising with suppliers in the specification of components and their operation.

��� �Report to the project manager regarding the scope and detail required.

��� �Being proactive and using your engineering skills to best effect for the company.

��� �Maintain accurate records of all work completed and planning successful outcomes within agreedtimescales and costs.

��� �Liaise with clients to promote our work and capabilities.

��� �Working with our sales team and liaising with external customers to assist with the preparation of quotations when required, including concept support and programming components for test rigs and trials.

��� �Prepare technical documentation including producing machinery manuals and the technical file.

��� �Knowledge of safety standards would be an advantage.

��� �Hold a valid driving licence and passport.



Other Duties





��� �Work in a responsible, tidy, and safe manner at all times regardless of where the work is being completed.

��� �Report to the project manager and keep them informed of any critical issues that may affect the project, personnel or the company in general.

��� �Competently use the computer system in order to maintain files, operate appliances and communicate with people and companies as required.

��� �Work within a team as well as on your own.

��� �Attend site for fault finding and rectification of machine issues and breakdowns, where required.
