Within Risk Analytics, the Insurance Catastrophe Modelling team use exposure management systems and catastrophe models, to provide analysis on catastrophe risk for direct insurance classes so that Executives and Underwriters are informed to make the best possible decision making to achieve overall profits and targets.Location: London/WFHType: PermanentKey duties (including, but not limited to) :Work collaboratively with clients of Risk Analytics to provide clarity, transparency and understanding through subject-matter expertiseSupport Analysts’ skills development through coaching and engagement, and provide guidance where required in addressing queries relating to the pricing of accounts and portfolio roll-up from underwriters in the Property spaceDrive thought leadership and insights, acting as the SME for Property classesOversee Property exposure capture and modelling to support and enhance underwriters’ decision making and effectively manage riskUndertake internal and external reporting activities for submissionsAssist Lead Analysts in the design and implementation of risk management strategies, ensuring alignment with business goalsConduct role in accordance with the Company’s Business Ethics policy and all regulated entities as appropriate, role modelling behaviours and risk management valuesAssist with ensuring that the portfolio and the risks underwritten are compliant with all the relevant risk, regulatory and legal requirements, and are aligned to business goalsUndergraduate degree in a related subject (Geography/ Mathematics/ STEM subjects) would be desirableCII Qualification would be desirableICSM or vendor qualification would be beneficialExcellent financial and commercial acumenHave a robust understanding of the Lloyd’s Syndicate market and its operating principlesExperience of RMS RiskLink/ Sequel Impact is essential; experience of AIR Touchstone is desirableStrong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Skills are essentialStrong understanding of coding logic and coding experience in SQL
