Job Title: Senior/Research Scientist - Mass specContract: 12 monthsLocation: SloughSalary: £28.09 - 33.58 PAYE, £38.24 UmbrellaSRG are working with a Global Biopharmaceutical company to help them find a Senior/Research Scientist to join their busy team. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual experienced in HDX-MS to join the Mass Spectrometry team within the Protein Structure and Biophysics Group.Key Responsibilities will include:Structural and mechanistic understanding of target and therapeutic molecule interactions are driven by our department using Mass Spectrometry, Cryo-EM, X-ray crystallography, SAXS, NMR and other biophysical techniques.proven track record in the design and execution of HDX-MS experiments with a contextual understanding of their results alongside other structural data.manage and prioritise the demands from multiple projects. Essential Requirements:PhD or BSc with 5+ years of relevant laboratory-based experience in the design, execution and analysis of HDX-MS experiments for antibody/protein/ligand interactions.Experienced with Waters data processing software packages (PLGS) and DynamX.Practical knowledge Waters HDX-MS system.Use of structural visualisation tools (PyMOL, Chimera or similar).Experienced with HDX-MS experiments using NBE and NCE molecules.Excellent organisational, communication, record keeping and team-working abilities. Desirable Requirements:HDX-MS analysis of membrane proteins.Troubleshooting and maintenance of Waters LC/MS equipment.Practical ability with Native MS, ion mobility MS, SEC-MS or intact mass LC/MS.Proven track record of publications related to mass spectrometry in peer reviewed journals.Appreciation of recombinant protein expression systems and PTMs.Working knowledge of Thermo Scientific Orbitrap MS systems.
