As the Senior Regulatory Reporting Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in producing Regulatory Capital reporting while also supporting the team in developing regulatory infrastructure, governance, controls, and documentation to support financial planning and analysis.Operating within the guidelines set by regulatory authorities, you will have the opportunity to showcase your expertise by ensuring that all regulatory processes are carried out in accordance with these parameters. Moreover, you will actively drive innovation by analysing, reconciling, and challenging the data, thereby contributing to the continuous improvement of regulatory compliance efforts.RESPONSIBILITIES:Regulatory Reporting:Collaborate within a small team to prepare monthly and quarterly regulatory returns for review and submission to the Regulator by the Head of Regulatory Reporting.Enhance regulatory infrastructure, bolstering control and governance concerning regulatory requirements and data
management/accuracy. Manage key stakeholders to ensure that provided data meets regulatory requirements and fosters process flow efficiencies.Analysis:Develop forward-looking statements highlighting changes to reporting required by regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.Partner closely with relevant teams to identify emerging trends, including stress testing modelling and results.Provide support in preparing annual assessments and producing regular management information on capital adequacy, risk appetite, and early warning triggers reporting.Undertake analytical review, variance analysis and commentary on the liquidity metrics and forecasts.Corporate/Finance Projects:Offer support for corporate projects impacting the current and future regulatory reporting framework to ensure project milestones are achieved.Harness technology to create efficiencies in data flow and reporting, with a focus on eliminating duplication.EXPERIENCE:Excellent understanding of the regulatory reporting landscape within the UKs banking sector – essential.Minimum of 3+ years’ experience in this field within the financial sector.Qualified accountant or studying towards a relevant professional qualification (CIMA/ACCA preferred) - desirable.You will be confident, possess strong financial & analytical skills as well as having a strong commercial acumen.Ability to work to deadlines, proficient data management and manipulation capabilities (Excel skills), and problem-solving skills with the ability to provide impact analysis.IN RETURN:Starting salary range £40,000 - £50,000 (dependent on experience) + you'll enjoy a range of competitive benefits, starting at 25 days (plus bank holidays), private medical insurance, a comprehensive pension plan, profit related pay and a variety of discounts and perks through company discount platform.The organisation also comes with fully funded study support towards professional certification (i.e. CIMA, ACCA).Hybrid working requiring 2 days per week in Birmingham office.Apply for further job & interview details should your skills and experience align to skills & experience listed above.**At this time, the company is unable to offer immediate or longer-term visa sponsorship for this role**Send me alerts about jobs like this.Please enter your email address to continue setting up an email alert for similar jobs to this one.
