Job Title: Senior Registered NurseLocation: AberdeenType: PermanentSalary: £37,132 - £40,007 per annumSanctuary Personnel is currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Registered Nurse to lead our client's dedicated team of Registered Nurses and Healthcare Assistants in delivering exceptional holistic care to service users. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the team operates in accordance with all policies and procedures, including those for recruitment, induction, development, supervision, appraisal, and discipline.Key Relationships:
Line management responsibility for Registered NursesWorking alongside and/or supporting volunteers within the teamFacilitating full participation of service users (or their family/carers) in care planning and review processesMaintaining effective communication and liaison with all relevant departments, both internal and external
Complexity and Accountability:
Delegating tasks appropriately while ensuring safe practice and assessing competenceEnsuring adequate daily staff cover and participating in out-of-hours clinical supportManaging and assessing risk within the area of responsibilityContributing to cost management and monitoring of suppliesParticipating in quality standards and clinical auditsContributing to the development of nursing care and servicesUpholding high standards of care delivery according to guidelines and policies
Key Responsibilities:
Providing support, leadership, recognition, and supervision to team membersDemonstrating activities to new or less experienced employees and providing day-to-day supervisionEducating service users, carers, families, and colleagues and acting as a mentor to studentsMaintaining accurate and timely records of service user consultationApplying legal policy to support the identification of vulnerable adultsMaintaining own professional development and supporting staff in their developmentAdhering to all Sanctuary Personnel policies and proceduresMaintaining a safe working environment and ensuring service user confidentiality
Qualifications Required:
NMC Registered Nurse with post-registration clinical experienceCompletion of NMC recognised accredited mentor training or willingness to undertakeEvidence of continued professional development
Experience, Skills, and Abilities:
Proven ability to build, lead, and influence an effective clinical teamKnowledge of current legislation within the independent care sectorFamiliarity with best clinical practices for the client groupDemonstrated self-directed and highly motivated practiceEffective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate difficult messages to service users and their familiesProficiency in negotiation and conflict managementAbility to manage change effectivelyCapacity to provide teaching and mentorship in a clinical setting
